Andy’s love of all things Mid-Century is no secret! It was evident all throughout his house in the collections of old records, artworks, movie posters, bowling gear, tikis, and retro clocks, radios and record players. This love inspired the kitschy Scandinavian-woodcut style of the mandolin appliqué. I created the abstract strings style-lines by using a heavyweight top-stitching thread.
