And here it is!  The official online release of the brand new range by Devel Women; an adorable summer collection called Sprinkles and Cream.

The collection is inspired by my love of all things ice-cream, and it all started when I spied the cute and fresh Sprinkles Spot fabric.  Some would see confetti, I saw the childhood  (and kidulthood) excitement of Hundreds & Thousands on Vanilla Ice-cream.  It could not be passed up!

With the signature fabric sorted, I sourced an interesting basket-weave stretch cotton to form the base of my range.  And what do you know, it happened to come in Ice-cream Wafer Hot Pink!  Sold!

Now I’m an utter sucker for 1960’s design, especially the adorable shapes and style-lines of the Mod movement.  When I set eyes on the Sprinkle Spot cotton fabric, I instantly saw a sweet Peter Pan collared blouse in my designer-eye.  And the cuteness evolved from there…

The range is made up of a mini-dress with Mod-lines and pockets, teamed with a matching sweet-collared cropped jacket that buttons up the back, a sweet round-collared button-up blouse, and two high-waisted skirt options (mini and midi) mirroring the same Mod-lines as the mini-dress.  The pockets of the dress and skirts, and the body of the jacket, are all lined with the signature Sprinkles Spot fabric.  Too cute!

There were too many adorable photos to choose between from our shoot, that I’ve split the collection into two posts.  And so today, I share with you the lovely Drew, in the Sprinkles & Cream Mini-Dress and Jacket

So what do you think so far?  Cute, right??  And the colours are all inter-changeable!  Black with Pink, Pink with White…  you choose the flavour you like best.

The Mini-Dress and the Jacket (NZD$250 each) are available, along with the rest of the range, at Rita Sue Pin-Up Boutique in Auckland.  Or if you can’t make it there, feel free to drop me a message to arrange a special order in your size and colour choice!

Looking forward to sharing the rest of the collection with you tomorrow!   EDIT:  And here it is!
